Every time I check my mail it seems like there is a new person rapping. Now some are pretty good, but that’s not the point it seems that everyone has decided that the record business is the get rich quick scheme of 2010.Well for the people that have been out here standing in line and grinding earning their stripes it’s an insult. Because it takes hard work dedication and perseverance to win in this game and oh yea did I mention talent? I also forgot to mention resources as well as knowhow. You do not just make a cd and throw it out and then blow up there are a lot of steps in between the studio and going platinum which in this new economy is pretty much nonexistent. People we have to be honest with folks when we give feedback. So they will know if they want to pursue this industry. Just because you can make a beat does not mean u should rap on it. Just because you have money does not mean you can rap. Just because you produce does not mean you can sing. Now we have a situation to where people just look at a title and call them that. One thing I would like to encourage is if you’re going to rap or sing be serious or get of the way of people that are serious. There are more labels and groups and rappers than there have ever been so it’s actually harder for the real ones to get there shine on.
