Slick Pulla and Put On Tone of CTE/Prestige sat down with Miss Malika of the World Wide Heavy Hitters blog to talk about the upcoming projects they have in the works.  You can check out the interview below.

MM:First off,i wanna thank you guys for sittin down with
me!
PRESTIGE ENTERTAINMENT:We appreciate you having
us.
MM:Please tell my readers about "the PRESTIGE
ENTERTAINMENT Lable;Who are the CEO's.....Your
motto..... how you plan to contribute to the "music game"
and why the lable was created.
SLICK PULLA: Well as far as the label goes, PRESTIGE
ENTERTAINMENT LLC is a company I thought of while I

was in the Box, I was sitting there one day like you know
what? The world is bigger than Atlanta, Ga. This is my
home but its time for me to boss up & spread my hustle all
across the globe. So I called up the homie PUT ON TONE
and said aye cuz look… this what the move is... We gonna
start this company, I need you to go get these Logos & LLC
& business taken care of & then we gonna put together a
movement based off a few key principles GOD,
BROTHERHOOD, STRENGTH & LOYALTY and our focus is
to CONQUER THE HOOD; THEN THE WORLD! That's the
PRESTIGE Motto, so basically me & PUT ON TONE are the
CEOs of the company & we put it together because the
game is lacking movements like they had back in the day.
We’re all about family, I'm the one that told Hood he needs
to rap! I had young cats like HOODRICH around me & I
was like “cuz everybody already thinking you a rapper
cause of your swag you might as well pipe up and give it to
them folks”. Henceforth HOODRICH now! Then I been
knowing NUFSED & he been talking that talk & was hot so
it only made sense to do that. Like why would I not try to
make that happen this my nephew and most importantly
we’re all making good quality street music. We taking the
No limit / Master P approach over here man, you know
like ain't no sense in waiting on one song or one project to
do this & that; we putting it all out cause at the end of the
day its all locking no matter what you decide you like,
once you pick & choose " It's PRESTIGE "
MM:Who are your artists,please tell me about
the projects you are currently involved in?

SLICK PULLA: Right now our artist consist of Myself, &
THE CONGRESSMEN which are made up of HOODRICH,
CORD DIBIASE, C-CIDE, FAMOU$, NUFSED, PISTOLA, MR.
A1, CROIX THE SAINT, LIVEYAH LEE & DECATUR
GRANDS. By the way Free da Boy GRANDS!!! We riding wit
ya baby!!! We working hard at it over here man, I dropped
the UDAY HUSSEIN tape not to long ago, thats in the
streets and I'm working on the follow up to that the "
BODY OF EVIDENCE " mixtape right now which you can
expect real soon! That's gonna basically be 12 or 13 hot
songs explaining why I'm dat guy! If there have been any

questions? Over the years you know PULLA MAN has been
spitting that gutta butta for ya'll but some people have had
they hater plugs in, the " BODY OF EVIDENCE will pierce
those hater plugs. Also we just dropped THE PRESTIGE
WE THE NEW THING VOL 2 Mixtape thats killing the
streets and the internet right now. It got me & the homies
on there spittin dat str8 drop. Make sure 2 go get that! We
also GOT GRANDS THE LIFE OF LAMAR Coming Soon,

LOC, TONE TRUMP, all of us man... what's good about THE
WORLD is we got cats from every different place goin
hard! Like we got me in Atlanta, the other homies in New
York, Philly, Cali, Indiana and when we click up & form
together; WE THA WORLD!
MM:Any release dates coming up soon?
SLICK-PULLA: Right now as you already know Prestige

MM:Is there a website you can send my readers to?

SLICK PULLA: You can expect AN OFFICIAL PRESTIGE
ENTERTAINMENT LLC. Website real soon that will keep
you updated with all the major updates and releases, as
well as give our fans the opportunity to connect with us on
a more personal level.
MM:As an indie lable,what are some of your strategies to
overcome the recent lack of album sales due to file sharing
and free downloading?
PUT ON TONE: To be honest it’s really not much you can
do when it comes to file sharing & free downloads other
than use it as a promotional tool & accept that fact &
be thankful that people are interested in your product

enough to even want it to begin with. As an indie label
we plan to continue to give our listeners and supporters
quality music & entertainment so that they will not want
to miss out on what we have to offer. As far as album sales
people are going to buy and support what they have a
connection with so it is our mission to continue to build
and connect with our fans on a personal level & give
rewards & incentives to the ones that truly support the
movement. Our goal is to create such a frenzie that you
will be ridiculed for not wanting to or being attached to
the PRESTIGE/ CONGRESSMEN Brand in some way.
MM:I read that PRESTIGE ENT. is doing shows with the
whole roster,and SLICK PULLA headlining,Is that just in
Atlanta,any plans to take the show on the road?If so can
you give us some tour dates?
PUT ON TONE: We have currently been doing shows in
several different cities & markets such as North & South
Georgia, North & South Carolina, Florida, Detroit, Ohio,
Virginia, and more... we are always looking to expand
and take the show on the road to more venues across the
world as we continue to build the PRESTIGE brand. If your
a promoter or event specialist thats interested in booking

MM:How does PRESTIGE ENT. deal with the recent
trend of violence in the crowd at shows?Is it the artists
responsibilty,or the venues?
PUT ON TONE: When it comes to violence at shows alot
of times it comes from things like either somebody can't
control their alcohol & or drug intake or the club or venue
owners weren't prepared for the event with proper
security to be able to handle crowd control. We try not to
get caught up into all that and just focus on giving the fans

a great show which they came to see and have a good time
with crowd participation and enjoyment.
MM:If an artist wants to become part of your lable,what
are the steps you want them to take?
PUT ON TONE: Were always looking for new talent and we
aren't set on being considered as a one dimensional label,
so if any talented artist ( any genre ) think they have what
it takes & would like to be considered for a label home
at PRESTIGE ENTERTAINMENT send Bios, Press Kits, &
Demos to prestigeentllc@gmail.com and someone in our
A&R Department will review it for consideration.

MM:I've found that artists running a lable generally have a
hardtime promoting two projects at once,themselves and
the lable....what did you guys do differantly to avoid that
pitfall?

PUT ON TONE: As for promotion of projects from an artist
based label, we are independent & know the struggles of
not being able to reach certain levels or heights due to
position and power in the industry so again our vision &
focus is to take and work each and every project that is
released in the same manner and as effectively as possible
to obtain exposure and success.

MM:I couldnt help but notice SLICKPULLA went missing
for a little while,can you explain the absence?

SLICK PULLA: Alot of people know that my absence from
the game was due to a little run in I had with the law, I'm
not the type of person to glorify jail or try to use it for
more exposure or nothing like some of these cats do but
i will say that by me having to do that little time it just
gave me time to think about where I was at in my life at

one point and time & where I plan on getting back to and
surpassing. Being in the box is no place for anybody I lost
valuable time that I can't get back with my family, friends,
& in my line of work. But all in all it has helped prepare me
for what's next to come.
MM:As an independant website that supports the
underground artist,danetworc.com understands the
difficulty of being successful without the majors....is there
any advice you can give other independant lables on how
to stay relevant?

SLICK PULLA: Mainly to be successful you just have
to believe in whatever it is that your doing. Surround
yourself with people that want to see you win and believe
in what your trying to do. Keep grinding and don't stop!
Don't focus on what you don't have & go harder with
everything you do.
MM:How has the atlanta music changed over the past 3 or
4 years?
SLICK PULLA: The music scene has changed alot because
the internet has taken over alot of things and now the viral
game is really important and alot of these young cats put
the independent grind down and brought that back & now
ain't nobody waiting on the majors to do nothing for them
no more; they putting they movements together like I'm
gonna viral you to death & put my mixtapes out &
somebody gonna like it. Only thing I don't like about it is
the WWF factor done came into play, people are playing a
whole alot. They doing alot of playing now a days and I
guess when people get ready to take it to real life they

know where I'm at.
MM:I know that you and YOUNG JEEZY are affiliated,Does
he participate in any of the PRETIGE ENT. projects?
SLICK PULLA: As for myself & YOUNG JEEZY; he jumped
on my Single of mines called APE SH*T which features
my artist GRANDS that;s a really big record & he always
shows support with what we’re doing as a whole!
