Outkast's Big Boi Beats Drug Charge

(VIBE) Today is a good day for Atlanta rapper Big Boi. The Outkast rapper reached a deal in Miami court today that let him avoid serving jail time, according to NBC Miami. Instead of putting Big Boi in the slammer for the two felony drug charges he was facing, prosecutors struck a deal that includes 3 months of drug testing, community service, and a $2,000 donation to a charity.

Big Boi ran into the legal issues this past August, when he was getting off a cruise ship and K-9 units alerted police that Big Boi was carrying drugs, including ecstacy, ecstacy ingredient MDMA, and a cigarette roller with marijuana residue.

If Big Boi stays drug free after the three months of testing, the charges will be dropped.
