LIL WAYNE TO PERFORM AT THE GRAMMYS: Rapper among first artists announced for Feb. 8 ceremony.

*Lil Wayne has been tapped to perform at the 51st annual Grammy Awards, to be held Feb. 8 at Los Angeles' Staples Center and broadcast on CBS.
The rapper – along with the Jonas Brothers, Coldplay, Kenny Chesney and Katy Perry – were the first performers to be announced Wednesday by organizers of the annual ceremony.

Perry's performance will be interactive. Fans can upload short videos of themselves singing along to her hit "I Kissed a Girl" to CBS.com/Grammys through Feb. 6; voting will determine which of them will be shown during Perry's segment.

Each of the performers is nominated for awards; Lil Wayne leads the field with nods in eight categories.
