It would seem that West Atlanta has taken a “what’s yours is mine” mentality, forcefully alleviating one of the city’s favorite sons of his valuables, leaving him confused and angered. DJ Unk, perennial hit maker for Big Oomp Records and star of one of the last Southern Dance Movements, was robbed by a few of his fellow ATLiens. Thieves broke into Unk’s car and removed two Louie Vuitton luggage bags from the vehicle. The bags contained his signature Unk chain and two pinky rings, items that the rapper says is valued at $80,000, as well as his X-Box 360 and Gears of War video game. Fans were first notified of the brazen act via Unk’s Twitter page.
