(Billboard) The third installment in Young Jeezy's "Thug Motivation" album trilogy, "Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz Ambition," is laced with the rapper's signature raw verses and notable guest cameos by T.I., Ne-Yo, Jay-Z, Andre 3000, and more. There are even spit-singing verses from Jill Scott on the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League-produced track "Trapped."
"I was put onto Jill while sitting in Las Vegas kicking it with Beyoncé at the pool," Jeezy told Billboard.com's The Juice. "We did a couple of attempts, then Jill's like, 'Let me write something.' She wrote, sent it back and I loved it. The song is basically my life story... my whole description of what I've been through in two verses, with her bridge."
On one of the best cuts on the album, "O.J.," Jeezy brings back a controversial case to seal a hustler's anthem. "O.J. is that life. It's like, 'We're going to get away with this shit.' I mean, we was killing that white chick. That's what we do," Jeezy said.
The track, which was premiered yesterday (Dec. 6) by FunkMaster Flex, subtly correlates the clearance of street hustling with O.J. Simpson' s relieve of charge. "He was acquited, he didn't do it, right?" Jeezy joked.
"It's basically saying, 'What you know about champagne every night?' 'What you know about all these women every where?' 'What you know about sleeping on the bed shit?' If you don't you need to know. You need to get on the grind,'" Jeezy told The Juice.
"O.J.," features two of New York's finest, Jadakiss and Fabolous, and was produced by long time collaborator and friend, Lody Lucci. "Shout out to Lil Lody. When he did that beat I was like, 'That's crazy.' I reached out to Fab. He came through the studio and we knocked out the song together. I sent Jadakiss the record and he got it right back and it was just crazy. I can't wait for the video," Jeezy said.
