
MEMPHIS, TN – Memphis police say a man has been charged in the shooting of a pregnant woman and a man at a Memphis apartment complex.
According to investigators, the shooting happened around 4:17 p.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at an apartment complex on Rainey.
Police say when they arrived on the scene they noticed that the windows of a Ford Taurus had been shot out. Officers also discovered that an apartment, directly behind the car, also had bullet holes in the window and door.
During an investigation police learned that a pregnant woman and a man were sitting in the car when three men walked up and began shooting at the victims.
Both victims were taken to the Med in critical condition and have since been released, according to police.
Memphis Police say Roosevelt Sharkey, 27, was arrested and charged with two counts of Criminal Attempt Second Degree Murder and Employment of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.
Investigators have not released any information about the motive for the shooting.
