UPDATE: from WDIV4 News - Nathaniel Abraham has been charged with drug possession, with intent to distribute. He will be held on a $250,000 bond based on the information that Abraham has no job and has been living with his girlfriend in several different places. He also admitted to using ecstacy, alcohol and marijuana.
Nathaniel Abraham was arrested yesterday at a Pontiac gas station, allegedly in possession of 259 pills - presumed to be the drug Ecstasy. The police say they witnessed what appeared to be a hand-to-hand drug deal between Nate, and a man on a bicycle.
Just a little background - Nate Abraham was convicted of murdering 18-year-old Ronnie Greene of Pontiac, MI when he was only 11-yrs old, making Nate Michigan’s youngest convicted murderer. At the time of his trial, there was an effort to try young Nate as an adult.
Nate was released from a juvenile facility last year when he turned 21, and had been working on leading a constructive life. He has recorded a rap album, taken college courses, and spoken to at-risk youth. Nate has been criticized for recording gangsta rap, and the state has been criticized for financing his schooling. Yet in spite of the negative publicity, Nate has received encouragement and support from church, and community leaders wishing to see him succeed.
