Man Accused of Beating Roommate to Death with Hammer

KSDK -- Prosecutors have charged a man accused of beating his roommate to death with a hammer and then burying him in a crawl space under an apartment.

Schron Jackson from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said Darryl Price, 52, of the 1200 block of N. 7th Street, is charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

Police said homicide detectives went to the 1200 block of N. 7th Street on Friday and found a partially decomposed body buried in a shallow grave inside the crawl space.

Investigators said the victim is Gerald Lee Williams, 25, of the 1200 block of N. 7th St.
