ATLANTA - Atlanta police are very familiar with a man who threatened to kill suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones and his family.
Investigators think Edward Morris, also known as Slugga, is responsible for what they call the "bloody summer" in Atlanta. Police have already charged Morris with one murder. They consider him part of a violent organized crime organization.
Court documents from Las Vegas indicated Morris threatened to kill Jones, his mother and his daughter if the athlete did not pay $15,000 to the man responsible for the triple shooting in Las Vegas in February 2006.
Jones wired the money before recounting the episode to Las Vegas detectives.
At one point, Morris was on Georgia's top 10 Most Wanted list.
