Hartford (WTNH) -- Police are looking for an Enfield man who they say kidnapped and murdered his ex-girlfriend.
Darryl "Red" Crenshaw, 25, is wanted in Hartford for the kidnapping and assault of Ashley Peoples. Peoples was reported missing by her family last week and was last seen with Crenshaw in Hartford.

Her body was found inside Crenshaw's Enfield apartment on Sunday. A preliminary investigation reveals that Peoples was strangled. Enfield police are in the process of obtaining a warrant charging Crenshaw with capitol murder.
Crenshaw should be considered dangerous. He was last seen driving a green 2000-01 Chrysler Concord LXI. A previous mug shot shows him bald with a beard, but police believe he has shaved his beard and grown his hair.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Darryl Crenshaw is asked to not approach him but to contact Hartford Police Major Crimes Detectives Seth Condon or William Siemonko at 860-757-4265, call Crime Stoppers at 860-722-TIPS (8477), or Text-A-Tip at CRIMES (274637) enter TIP716 and message.
