Two Teens Charged in Carjacking of Third Shelby County Teen

This is a news release sent to Eyewitness News Everywhere by the Shelby County Sheriff's Office:
Deputies Arrest Two for Carjacking in Southeast Shelby County

Shelby County Sheriff’s detectives charged two teenagers early this morning for carjacking and robbing another teenager last night in southeast Shelby County. The victim and one of the suspects were both shot.

Marcus Green, 19, and Aaron Caldwell, 18, face multiple charges after Brian Waller, 18, was carjacked and robbed. All of the teenagers live in the same neighborhood.

Waller told Deputies he was sitting in his car in the 4900 block of Callaway Hills Drive last night about 10 o’clock when the two suspects approached his vehicle.

Waller was forced into the backseat by Marcus Green. Waller was robbed of cash and driven around for several minutes in southeast Shelby County. There was a scuffle in the backseat and Green’s pistol discharged. Both Green and Waller were shot in the leg.

Caldwell stopped the vehicle and both he and Green took off on foot. Waller then drove his vehicle to a friend’s house in the 7800 block of Windy Willow Road and called for help.

An ambulance was later called for Green who had gone to a house in the 4800 block of Calloway Hills Drive. Both teenagers were treated and released from the Regional Medical Center.
