STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. -- A Stockbridge man faces murder charges in connection with the death of a 20-month-old girl.
Henry County police detectives arrested Jamaal Tinsley, 31, Monday night.
Investigators said the Tinsley’s girlfriend left the toddler, who police identified as Savannah Seck, with him before going to school Monday morning. Police were called to Tinsley’s home on Peridot Parkway after receiving a call that said Seck was not breathing. An autopsy revealed Seck had multiple internal injuries.
Tinsley appeared at a preliminary hearing Tuesday, where he was officially charged with murder, malice murder, and first-degree cruelty to children.
A police statement said Tuesday that the investigation will continue with help from the Henry County Department of Family And Children’s Services.
