South African star of Tsotsi makes as splash as spokeswoman for L’Oreal’s new dark skin tone line

Introducing Terry Pheto, Newest Face of L’Oreal Paris. For those of you SERIOUS movie buffs you might be familiar with 2006 Best Foreign Film Oscar-winning movie Tsotsi. It was critically acclaimed although it didn’t get much burn in mainstream Western culture. Anyway South African actress, Terry Pheto, who starred in the flick has just signed on to be the new spokeswoman for L’Oreal Paris’ brand new product line targetted at dark skin tones called the Even Perfect Skin Care range.

Pheto (27) says its “an honour (honor)” to endorse the brand especially since its become more dedicated to promoting ethnic beauty. “There aren’t many companies that have developed a range especially for African women,” said Pheto. “This is really a great opportunity for me as an actress and a person,” she added. “It is very exciting, I will get to meet talented people like Beyoncé and Jane Fonda, and just to be associated with them is truly a dream come true for me.”
