KSDK -- St. Louis Metropolitan police took two people into custody accused of assaulting six people after they got off at a MetroLink stop.
Prosecutors charged Jermaine Smith, 17, with third-degree assault.
A 16-year-old male has also been taken into custody, but police could not release any information about him because he is a juvenile.
Police said the victims, an 18-year-old woman, 50-year-old woman, 23-year-old man, 26-year-old man, 50-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were assaulted at the Metro platform at 240 Debaliviere on Sunday at 12:01 a.m.
The victims ran to a restaurant across the street and a police officer on patrol saw the assault and chased the suspects.
Police took the suspects into custody as they tried to escape back onto the MetroLink platform.
There is no word on how seriously any of the victims were injured.
