Not all rappers are dumb as doorknobs. Rapper Ludacris, real name Chris Bridges, knew exactly what he was doing when he called Sen. Hillary Clinton the B-word on his new track in support of Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama.

“Hillary hated on you, so that bitch is irrelevant,” declared Luda on the track titled “Politics: Obama is Here” As you can imagine, the track is causing quite a commotion in the offices with the high glass ceilings.

Obama’s camp was swift to denounce the lyrics contained in the song. But Luda knew that would happen. I’m sure he counted on the media to jump all over the lyrics — which they did. Mind you, these are the same misogynistic lyrics rappers have been using to describe their Nubian sisters for at least 3 decades.

“I hope Senator Obama has the presence of mind to denounce and distance himself from Ludacris,” Sen. Clinton’s former national finance co-chair, Yashar Hedayat wrote in an email to the Huffington Post.

Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton released a tersely worded statement condemning Ludacris and all rappers like him who use offensive language under the guise of “artistic expression”:

“As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to. This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.”

Ashamed? No. Paid? Yes. After all, who cares about mothers and children when it comes to the pursuit of the almighty dollar.

Oh, and expect Luda’s publicist to issue a carefully worded prepared statement apologizing for his “unintended” offensive lyrics in 5…4….3…2…

I FEEL LIKE AT THE END OF THE DAY, ANYONE THAT HAS ANY SINCE KNOWS THAT THAT'S POLITICS HE AS NOT ONLY A BLACK MAN BUT AS A BLACK MAN RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT IS UNDER HARSH SCRUTINY SO HE HAS TO SAY THINGS TO PROTECT HIS RACE TOWARDS PRESIDENCY FIRST OFF THIS COUNTRY IS STILL AGAINST US NO MATTER HOW MUCH MONEY OR WHAT POSITION YOUR IN, WERE IN A FUCKED UP PREDICAMENT.I PERSONALLY DONT GIVE A DAMN WHAT HE SAYS AGAINST RAP RIGHT NOW! HE HAS TO UPHOLD AN IMAGE RIGHT NOW SO HE COULD SAY WHATEVER AS LONG AS HE GETS HIS ASS IN OFFICE IM WITH HIM ON IT. IM SPEAKING AS AN ARTIST BUT THERE IS A FLIP SIDE LUDACRIS CAN ALSO SAY HOW HE FEELS THIS IS WHY WERE IN THIS THING CALLED RAP! BECAUSE WE CAN SPEAK OUR MINDS BUT THE FLIP SIDE TO THAT IS THAT SOMETIMES WE AS ARTUIST GET CAUGHT UP IN THE MOMENT AND DONT REALIZE THAT SOME THINGS IS BETTER LEFT NOT SAID ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR AN ARTIST AS BIG AS LUDA. SO HE CANT TAKE IT PERSONAL BARACK HAS TO KIND OF BE AN UNCLE TOM IT'S COOL. BUT REAL TALK WHEN YOU SEE HIM IN FLICKS WITH THIS ONE AND THAT ONE AND HAVING CERTAIN ARTIST AS HIS BACK MUSIC YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT IT IS. SO I SAY THIS ONE THING FOR SURE BARACK OBAMA FOR FUCKING PRESIDENT!
