(Memphis 7/25/2008) On December 20, 2006, 794 Brower Street was the scene of a horrific domestic violence incident. Police say Ernest Smith tried to kill his girlfriend. They say he threw boiling water on her, then beat her on the head with the pot. The water burned a third of the victim's skin on her face, chest, stomach and legs.

"We don't support what he did and crimes against women are wrong. If we knew where he was believe me, we'd turn him in." said a relative of Smith. She now lives in that house on Brower. She says they don't know where he is and neither does another relative we were able to find. "He doesn't contact us simply because he doesn't want us in all this. I told him I appreciate that when he called me that night. Other than that, we haven't heard from him or seen him."

Smith's last known address is 696 Alabama Street. Neighbors, there, can't remember the last time they saw him.

Smith has a long wrap sheet that includes drug charges, assault, failure to appear, burglary and larceny. Two years later, police are still considering him to be dangerous.

Those who live on Brower Street remember what happened on December 20, 2006. But they're not worried Smith will come that way again. "People that commit crime in Memphis and Shelby County, they'll leave the area and go North." said Rick Richter. "This community sticks close together and everything like that because if he comes back we'll call the police on him. " said Phill Martin.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is offering a one-thousand dollar reward for information leading to his arrest. If you have seen Smith call 1-800-TBI-FIND.

How many times are you gonna say its crazy in the hood? As if you could justify all the shit you've seen with that statement. HOW THE FUCK WOULD YOU ACT IF SHIT LIKE THAT POPPED OFF? Wouldn't it be paradoxically correct to just brush it off? Naw but you all don't understand that shit. Is it too complex? Oh wait no, "it is CRAZY in the hood"
