
Ten people were arrested in recent days as agents of the Yuma County Narcotics Task Force and State Gang Task Force served search warrants in separate drug cases around Yuma County.
"Our philosophy has always been quality of life issues in residential neighborhoods and our goal has always been to address street-level narcotics," said Maj. Leon Wilmot of the Yuma County Sheriff's Office.
On Friday at 6:30 a.m., agents of the Yuma County Narcotics Task Force and State Gang Task Force served a search warrant at a residence located at 15857 S. Rincon De Espana, in reference to narcotics activity.
Agents located methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia during the warrant. Three men were arrested - Angel Rene Jimenez, 23, Daniel Mendez, 34, and Jubenal Bravo, 19.
Jimenez was arrested on charges of possession of a dangerous drug - methamphetamine - for sale, possession of a dangerous drug, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence.
Bravo was arrested on charges of possession of a dangerous drug for sale - methamphetamine - possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and hindering prosecution. Mendez was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Also on Friday, agents took possession of approximately 128 pounds of marijuana and three suspects seized by the U.S. Border Patrol near the Colorado River at the Levee Road and County 8-1/2 Street.
Arrested and booked for possession of marijuana for sale, transportation of marijuana for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia were Sergio Hernandez-Salgado, Horacia David Sanchez-Ventura and Jose Martin Hernandez.
The following day, on Saturday, agents served a third warrant, also in reference to narcotics activity at 2451 S. Carol Ave.
Agents, during the service of the warrant, located 11.95 grams of methamphetamine packaged for sale and drug paraphernalia.
Ronda Strausbaugh, 39, was arrested and booked on charges of possession of a dangerous drug for sale, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia
On Monday, at about 8:30 a.m. agents served a fourth search warrant at 7690 Willow Lane, also in response to reported narcotics activity.
Agents reported locating a usable amount of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia along with a loaded 9mm handgun.
Three suspects were arrested and booked into jail - Jeffrey B. Alexander, 45, Mary C. Endsley, 56, and Brenda Campbell, 53.
Alexander was arrested on charges of misconduct with weapons, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Endsley was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Campbell was arrested on charges of possession of a dangerous drug, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
