*Aretha Franklin has been chosen to sing at the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama on Jan. 20, according to a full itinerary released Wednesday by his inaugural committee.

Also, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, violinist Itzhak Perlman, pianist Gabriela Montero and clarinetist Anthony McGill will perform a new work composed by John Williams, who also provided music for Obama's election night rally in Chicago's Grant Park.

Michael Vick Could Be Moved From Federal Prison To A Halfway House As Soon As January

Teen takes stand in hearing for fatal drive-by shooting

One of three people who are charged in a fatal drive-by shooting testified Tuesday for the prosecution and implicated one co-defendant as the shooter and another as the driver.

Antonio Wells said at a preliminary hearing that he had “grown up with” the victims of a Sept. 7 shooting episode.

A Gainesville man has been accused of stealing a small refrigerator from a probation office to destroy one of his own urine samples. MEMPHIS, TN – Memphis police say a woman was shot while sitting in her car at an East Memphis shopping center.

It happened at the Poplar Plaza Shopping Center at Poplar Avenue and Highland around 6:54 p.m., Sunday, December 14, 2008.

Police catch suspect accused of robbing couples and raping woman

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police have arrested a suspected stalker accused of a rash of disturbing robberies, including a rape.
