RECOVERED GUN USED IN HUDSON KILLINGS: Police say the .45 caliber firearm was 'positively identified through forensic exam.'

*Chicago police confirmed Friday that the gun found Wednesday in a vacant lot on the West Side was the firearm used in the murders of Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and nephew.

"The weapon has been positively identified through forensic examination as the weapon that was used in the homicides," said police Superintendent Jody Weis, according to the Associated Press.

Today Def Jam Executive Vice President Shakir Stewart’s body was found at his Atlanta home in an apparent suicide attempt. Sources close to the family are saying he is currently on life support and his mother is on the way to the hospital from Oakland. His girlfriend and child was at home at the time.
