Mary Hopkins, 36, will soon graduate with a math doctorate from Florida Atlantic University, one of five math PhDs expected to go to the largest class of women in the school’s history. Mid-South Baby Dies from Blow to the Head

A Memphis couple is now facing charges following the death of an 8-month old girl.

Memphis police say Trenity Lawrence died on Friday. Police found her unconscious at a house at 3338 Winchester Place. She later died at the hospital.

Her parents, Trevelyn Lawrence and Candace Faulkner, say they were involved in a fight shortly before they noticed their daughter wasn't breathing. The medical examiner later ruled the child died from blunt… Continue

Police: Crack Found in Man's Buttocks

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Police searching a downtown home found a man hiding 15 plastic bags of crack cocaine in his buttocks.

Pierre Lynch, 20, of Washington, D.C., was searched after he went to a home on Charles Street Thursday night.
