Three Dallas Police Officers Will Be Charged In Beating

DALLAS — Police chief David Brown announced on Wednesday that the three police officers involved in a southern Dallas beating on September 5 will face criminal charges.

Brown's proclamation came as the department finally released dashcam recordings of the incident, nearly 10 days after it happened.

The chief and other city leaders urged citizens to remain calm while the facts of the case are reviewed.

Chicago Police Rally Against Department Head

CHICAGO — Several hundred officers rallied outside Chicago police headquarters on Wednesday and called for the city's top police official to step down, saying initiatives he pushed through after joining the force three years ago have put their lives in danger and the community at risk.

Mexican Marines Arrest Presumed Drug Kingpin, Sergio Villarreal Barragan

Mexican marines captured Sergio Villarreal Barragan, a presumed leader of the embattled Beltran Leyva cartel and one of the country's most-wanted fugitives, in a raid Sunday in the central state of Puebla, the government said.
