Richmond Mother Arrested In Murder, Torture Of Son

A Richmond mother has been arrested for allegedly torturing and killing her 8-year-old son in a case that police called one of the most disturbing crimes they have ever investigated.

"Based on the obvious physical abuse, it's just horrific what this child went through," said Richmond Police Department Lt. Mark Gagan. The boy had whip marks, burns, cuts and scars "over every inch of his body."

Magic Johnson, Gilbert Arenas Help Raise $600K for Homeless

Over the weekend, Magic Johnson and Gilbert Arenas connected with Freddie Mac for their Hoops for the Homeless Tournament at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. Magic hosted the event while Arenas coached one of the basketball teams which consisted of local celebrities. Should Ex-Cons Be Allowed to Vote?

Carrying a felony charge used to mean, among other things, that voting was out of the question. It still does for millions of ex-convicts, but some states are loosening the laws that many activists say are a violation of basic civil rights. Atlanta man shoots girlfriend, commits suicide

A College Park man, who police say may have been despondent over the recent death of his mother, shot his girlfriend Monday at their home and then drove to a Jonesboro cemetery where he shot himself at his mother’s grave site.

According to the AJC, David Wayne Price, 30, was found dead of a single self-inflicted gun shot wound at a Jonesboro cemetery where his mother is buried and he also has a plot.

NATE DOGG REPORTEDLY SUFFERS 2ND STROKE: Allhiphop.com reports crooner is in serious condition.

*Singer Nate Dogg is reportedly hospitalized in serious condition after suffering another stroke, his second since December 20 of last year, AllHipHop.com reported Monday afternoon.

FALCONS SAFETY LAWYER MILLOY ARRESTED: Athlete popped in suburban ATL for DUI and speeding.

*Atlanta Falcons safety Lawyer Milloy has been arrested on DUI and speeding charges in suburban Atlanta, reports the Associated Press.

The 34-year-old player, currently in his third year with the Falcons, was booked into the Gwinnett County jail about 4:30 a.m. Monday morning, and was released at 9:48 a.m. after posting bond of more than $1,600, according to reports. No further details about the arrest were given at press time.
