Two teens charged in shooting of 15-year-old Maple Heights girl

MAPLE HEIGHTS -- Friends of Briana Bryant said the 15-year-old girl had a bubbly personality and a radiant smile.

The straight-A student would try to make others laugh between classes at Maple Heights High School, friends said. She liked history, Spanish, and the Cleveland Browns, primarily because she had a crush on wide receiver Braylon Edwards.

But her life was cut short Thursday.

Pittsburgh School Employees Attacked By Student's Mother

PITTSBURGH -- Two Pittsburgh Public Schools employees, each in their mid-60s, were sent to a hospital after the parents of a student attacked them, a spokesperson said.

School spokesperson Ebony Pugh said a nurse and a social worker were assaulted by the parents of a Brashear High School student when they went to take the girl home.

Algiers man booked with murder of Betsy's Pancake House owner
