ALLHIPHOP*** Young Jeezy: The Recession (Album Review)

Young Jeezy has a problem. Since the Georgia native blindsided the national Hip-Hop scene with 2005’s Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101, there have been countless peers who have appropriated his raspy voice and ad lib centered flow to craft their own hits.

Jeezy reaffirmed his position with 2006’s The Inspiration, but rumblings are strong in 2008 about if he can still maintain his position. With his third LP, aptly titled The… Continue

Young Jeezy gets political with 'The Recession,' his new CD

NEW YORK (AP) _ Young Jeezy may seem like an unlikely political commentator, given his status as a gangsta rapper. But on his new CD, "The Recession," he talks about more than just hustling, putting in his two cents about the economy, struggling times and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

The platinum-selling, Atlanta-based rapper is broadening his subject matter as he also tries to appeal to a wider audience. So far, it seems… Continue

Blender Magazine Calls Tupac The Most Overrated Person In Music

Dead rapper Tupac “2Pac” Shakur, the hip-hop icon who sold more records after he was murdered than during his brief career, is the most overrated person in music, according to music magazine Blender.
