Chicago rapper Bump J recently signed a plea deal that would give him a lighter prison sentence, for his part in a 2007 bank robbery in his hometown.

Perhaps the authorities of local municipalities need to start listening to gangsta rap music. Rap being the “news” of the streets can often be an indicator of criminal activities in a particular area long before authorities become aware of them.

MIAMI (AP) — Michael Beasley of the Miami Heat is being treated for depression-related issues at a Houston rehabilitation facility, a person briefed on the situation told The Associated Press on Monday.

Two associates of Jadakiss were arrested yesterday (August 24) after being busted with six pounds of marijuana, five grams of heroin and $42,000 in cash, reports The Journal News.

C-Murder was sentenced this morning (August 25) to 10 years in prison for two attempted murders in a Baton Rouge nightclub, according to The Times-Picayune.
As XXLMag.com previously reported, the 38-year-old rapper took a plea deal in May, pleading no contest to two counts of second-degree murder. He will be credited for time under house arrest and awaiting trial since his August 14, 2001 arrest at Club Raggs.
