Two Muslim women in Dearborn, a Michigan city with a huge Muslim population, are suing a local McDonalds after they were told that they could only work there if they removed their hijabs. Man is charged with beating man to death with a brick

Police yesterday arrested the man they said beat to death a 38-year-old landscaper with seven children last week in West Philadelphia and then made off with the victim's wallet.

The suspect is the man seen - with two small boys in tow - on a widely circulated surveillance video buying three fitted baseball caps during a shopping spree about an hour after Corey Moody was bashed on the head with a brick, police said.

Defendant in 20-year-old murder case found guilty

A construction worker who confessed last year to killing his best friend's wife in 1988 and then recanted from the witness stand this week was convicted Thursday of second-degree murder.

Jonathan Ransom, 46, faces 10 years to life in prison, under the law in effect at that time, when he is sentenced Aug. 29 by Criminal Court Judge James Beasley Jr.

Ex-Con Gets Life for Gruesome 19-Hour Rape of NYC Coed



NEW YORK — An ex-convict has been sentenced to life in prison for the sadistic, 19-hour rape and torture of a Columbia University graduate student.

Memphis Man Added To Fugitive List

(Memphis 7/25/2008) On December 20, 2006, 794 Brower Street was the scene of a horrific domestic violence incident. Police say Ernest Smith tried to kill his girlfriend. Teen hit on stolen dirt bike - mob attacks driver

Twinsburg man charged with killing police officer

As the widow of slain Twinsburg police officer Joshua Miktarian watched, Ashford Thompson, the man charged with his murder, was arraigned this morning in Summit County Common Pleas Court.

Magistrate John Shoemaker revoked bond. Thompson, 23, has been in the Summit County Jail under a $5 million bond set last week in Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court.

Dad Accused Of Throwing, Killing Baby

DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. -- An 18-year-old father is accused of killing his 2-month-old son, Douglas County authorities said Thursday.

Alonzo Toler has been charged for allegedly killing 2-month-old Demond Toler. Demond was pronounced dead Wednesday night at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Hospital officials said it appeared the baby was suffering from a fractured skull and other injuries.

Stolen Gun Used In Police Shootout Linked To Woman’s Death

PHILADELPHIA -- Police said the same stolen gun was used in Monday’s shootout with police and the shooting death of a woman earlier that morning.

Memphis man gets county job after prison

Prison nurse charged with armed cocaine trafficking

TAMPA — A prison nurse from Valrico has been arrested and charged with armed cocaine trafficking.

Tampa Police detectives searched Oberdella Melvin's home early Wednesday and discovered close to 300 grams of cocaine, according to an arrest report.
