Woman loses fingertip in Tampa meat market brawl

TAMPA — The first time Jacqueline Wimbush got into a fight and lost a fingertip, doctors managed to save it.

Not this time.



Wimbush, who has a history of brawling, lost the tip of her left ring finger to another woman at a busy East Tampa meat market Monday, Tampa police say. "Right now it's gone, and there's nothing I can do," she fumed Wednesday.

MICHAEL VICK FILES FOR BANKRUPTCY: Jailed quarterback owes between $10 million and $15 million to creditors.

*Michael Vick, currently doing time on federal dogfighting charges, has filed Chapter 11 papers in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, saying he owes between $10 million and $50 million to creditors.

The seven largest creditors named in the court papers filed Monday in Newport News, VA are owed a total of about $12.8 million, reports the Associated Press.

NATE DOGG HIT WITH FELONY CHARGES: Crooner allegedly chased estranged wife down the 405

*Nate Dogg, 38, will face several felony charges in connection with the alleged stalking of his estranged wife, which included a car chase down a Los Angeles freeway.

The singer, born Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, will be arraigned July 16 on felony counts of making criminal threats, stalking and a misdemeanor charge of driving while his license was suspended for a drunken driving violation.

2-year-old beaten to death

DE SOTO — Taking a toy from his half sister led to one of what police are calling many "torture" sessions for a 2-year-old who died Monday, allegedly at the hands of his father's girlfriend.

$55,000 cash found hidden in St. Louis County jail bathroom

CLAYTON — It was not the kind of paper you'd expect to find by a toilet.

A St. Louis County jail employee found bundles of cash stuffed behind a tissue dispenser in a prisoner booking area restroom, and officials counted out $55,000 in $50 and $100 bills.

11 year old arrested for break-in

TACOMA — A Tacoma boy who stole a car and talked his way onto airline flights as a 9-year-old is in trouble again.

Semaj Booker, now 11, was arrested in connection with a weekend residential break-in. On Monday, a judge ordered him held in juvenile detention until at least July 17.



Pro-tem Judge John Hill also set that date for a hearing to determine whether the boy has the mental capacity to know right from wrong.

Man attacks 5 year old on bus

PITTSBURGH -- A 33-year-old Carrick man charged with assaulting a 5-year-year old on a school bus has been arrested.

Police said Thomas Demarko turned himself in to authorities early Tuesday morning after being featured on the Allegheny County Sheriff’s 20 Most Wanted list on Comcast.
