Coroner: Man Bled To Death After Fight With Brother

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Investigators said that a man died after being stabbed with a stick in a fight with his brother at their Spartanburg apartment.

David Lee Pitts, 51, was found bleeding about 8:30 p.m. Monday night on the porch of a unit at the J.C. Bull Apartments on Marion Avenue.

Suspect in Dallas officer's killing put on suicide watch

A suicide watch has been placed on a 26-year-old man who faces a capital murder charge after the fatal shooting of a veteran Dallas police officer Tuesday evening in east Oak Cliff.



Charles Payne was being held without bond Wednesday at the Lew Sterrett Justice Center, said Kim Leach, spokeswoman for the Dallas County Sheriff's Department.

Fight Between Brothers Leaves 1 Dead

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Spartanburg police said that a man died after a fight with his brother on Tuesday night.

David Lee Pitts, 51, was found bleeding about 8:30 p.m. on the porch of a unit at the J.C. Bull Apartments on Marion Avenue.
