Gang member charged with assault, ethnic intimidation

A Salisbury teen with a known gang affiliation is in jail today after police say he and a group of other teens beat up a man walking through their neighborhood just because he is white.

And police are investigating a similar but unrelated gang-related assault in another Salisbury neighborhood.

Reputed gang member shot dead on S.F. street

A reputed gang member - who moved out of San Francisco after beating a murder charge when the star witness against him was slain - was ambushed and shot to death Saturday night when he returned to the city for work at a construction site in the Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood, authorities said.

Gang member sentenced for 'senseless' murder

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. - A gang member convicted of murdering another man as part of an initiation ritual will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Prince George's County Judge Ronald Schiff sentenced 19-year-old Mario Rodriguez-Gutierrez of Hyattsville to life in prison plus 20 years for the murder of 19-year-old Francisco Quintanilla of Riverdale.
