Three charged in case of man found dead in Portsmouth

Three people were charged Thursday in connection with the death of a man found on Green Street on Saturday night.

(CNN) -- A Louisiana grand jury indicted a former police officer on a manslaughter charge in the death of a man who was Tasered nine times while handcuffed, prosecutors said Wednesday. Blacksburg man sentenced to life for drive-by shooting

A Blacksburg man has been sentenced to life in prison in connection with a fatal drive-by shooting in 2007. Travis Sentell Parker, 28, was found guilty of murder Wednesday after of a three-day jury trial in Gaffney. He is not eligible for parole.

Fort Worth man accused of killing Bedford store clerk faces death penalty if convicted

FORT WORTH — Jeff and Theodis Dodson entered D&S Food Mart in Bedford last year, walked around the store, then strolled up to the counter, one of the brothers carrying a can of beer, according to arrest warrant affidavits and store surveillance video.

Dallas man arrested in mother's slaying

Dallas police were busy Wednesday investigating three deaths, including that of a woman who appeared to have been beaten to death and whose son was arrested in her slaying.

Police kill man who shot at 2 cops



Chicago police overnight shot and killed an unidentified armed man who shot at police and then barricaded himself in a gangway on the South Side, police said.

Man is charged with beating man to death with a brick

Police yesterday arrested the man they said beat to death a 38-year-old landscaper with seven children last week in West Philadelphia and then made off with the victim's wallet.

Twinsburg man charged with killing police officer

As the widow of slain Twinsburg police officer Joshua Miktarian watched, Ashford Thompson, the man charged with his murder, was arraigned this morning in Summit County Common Pleas Court.

Memphis man gets county job after prison

Homicide investigators are looking for a man who used a slain robbery victim's credit card to buy three baseball caps an hour after the killing at a store just four blocks away from the crime scene in West Philadelphia.

Doval Smith, 21-year-old twin, reputed gang member, ''person of interest'' in the 2006 shooting death of a teenage girl, was shot dead Monday morning in Opa-locka.

Camden man shot dead in street on way home from work
