Three teens from St. Louis have been charged in connection with the wild crime spree Tuesday night that started with shoplifting from the South County Center.

Woman Throws Baby to Run Away from Police in Arkansas

HELENA/WEST HELENA, AR – Authorities say a woman threw a baby, face down in the mud while trying to run from police.

According to a police report, an officer saw a woman getting into a car with a baby in her arms at a gas station in Helena/West Helena, Arkansas. The officer says he went over to ask the woman if she was going to put the child in a car seat, when she gave him a fake name.

Inmate escapes from Bertie-Martin jail in North Carolina

Police were searching for an inmate from the Bertie-Martin Regional Jail.

Shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday, Danyashi Terrell Wood escaped custody, one day after he was sentenced to serve 93 months on several charges including assault with a deadly weapon, assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and being a habitual felon, according to a news release from the Bertie County Sheriff’s Office.

Police: Former U.S. congressional candidate from Monroe falsely reported robbery

Former U.S. congressional candidate Zelma Blakes was arrested Tuesday on accusations she falsely reported a robbery and kept money she claimed was stolen. Blakes, 36, 1206 St. John Street, Monroe, ran against U.S. Rep. Rodney Alexander to represent the 5th District of Louisiana in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2004.

On Tuesday, Blakes was charged with filing a false report and felony theft.

Camden man shot dead in street on way home from work

The gunshot sounded like thunder at first, but it was enough to wake Juanita Wiggins early Thursday morning. When she looked out the window of her Sycamore Street rowhouse in South Camden, she saw someone lying on the ground.

Thug's friends spring him from dentist's chair

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A teenager who was in jail for burglary was taken to his dentist Friday -- and that's when police said his friends, armed with a gun and Mace, broke him free.

MEN IN NASCAR LAWSUIT SUSPENDED: Two officials put on indefinite leave following claims of harassment from black co-worker.

*Two officials named in a $225 million harassment lawsuit by an African American, female NASCAR co-worker were suspended by the organization and placed on indefinite administrative paid leave.
