Man arrested after armed robbery

One person was arrested and three others are sought by police after an armed robbery in Tulsa on Tuesday.

The victim told officers four men took his vehicle at gunpoint about 4:10 p.m. in the 11900 block of East 15th Street, according to a preliminary police report.



One of the men drove off in the victim's car and the others left in another vehicle, the report states.

Hope amid the rage as 9-year-old improves after stray bullet tragedy

A 9-year-old Brooklyn boy who was struck in the head by a stray bullet showed some improvement today - giving his enraged family hope that he will survive.

Memphis man gets county job after prison

(Memphis 07/23/2007) Michael Hooks, Jr. is now on the payroll at the Shelby County Corrections Center. Just weeks after his release from a month long prison sentence, he's working for mayor AC Wharton's reentry program for ex-cons.

Virginia killer claims he'll "be back like Jesus" after his execution

JARRATT, Va. (AP) -- A Virginia man was executed Thursday for beating and stabbing his 79-year-old neighbor to death while he and a friend ransacked her apartment.

Kent Jermaine Jackson, 26, was pronounced dead at 9:18 p.m. at Greensville Correctional Center. He received a lethal injection for the 2000 murder of Beulah Mae Kaiser in Newport News.

18-year-old dead after Royal Oak Twp. shooting

An 18-year-old woman was shot and killed in a public housing project in Royal Oak Township following a dispute over a stolen gun that started late Thursday, neighbors said.
