Man Shot By Police In Mt. Oliver Remembered

MT. OLIVER (KDKA) ― Several dozen people gathered in a Mt. Oliver parking lot to remember a young man fatally shot by police four months ago.

The memorial, held near the spot where the shooting took place, included a birthday cake, balloons and prayers remembering Justin Jackson who would have turned 20 years old Monday.

Carlton Grant Jr., the 17-year-old son of dancehall artist Spragga Benz, was shot and killed by local police in Kingston, Jamaica on Sunday (Aug. 24). LR Police Search for Suspect in McDonald's Shooting

Police are looking for a man who reportedly assaulted the mother of his children in a parking lot, then shot a McDonald's employee who attempted to break up the fight.

Police say 22-year-old Nigel Haskell was shot in the upper torso when he tried to help out a woman who was being attacked by 27-year-old Perry Kennon of Conway.

Mom Admits To Dropping Baby Off On Union Twp. Doorstep, Police Say

UNION TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A Beaver Falls mother is accused of abandoning her baby last week by dropping it off on the porch of a home in Union Township.

According to police, Lelanie Gurley said she didn't want her 4-month-old baby anymore, so she put him on the front step of a home along Grandview Avenue. Gurley said she called the house to tell them the baby was there and watched until someone came out to get him.

Woman Throws Baby to Run Away from Police in Arkansas

HELENA/WEST HELENA, AR – Authorities say a woman threw a baby, face down in the mud while trying to run from police.

According to a police report, an officer saw a woman getting into a car with a baby in her arms at a gas station in Helena/West Helena, Arkansas. The officer says he went over to ask the woman if she was going to put the child in a car seat, when she gave him a fake name.

Police kill man who shot at 2 cops



Chicago police overnight shot and killed an unidentified armed man who shot at police and then barricaded himself in a gangway on the South Side, police said.

Police have charged a member of the security staff at a night club where another security guard was shot earlier this week with extortion, abduction and impersonating a police officer.

Stolen Gun Used In Police Shootout Linked To Woman’s Death

PHILADELPHIA -- Police said the same stolen gun was used in Monday’s shootout with police and the shooting death of a woman earlier that morning.

Police charge grandson in death of popular Memphis deejay

Memphis police have arrested the grandson of a popular deejay killed Wednesday, charging him with first-degree murder.

Dee “Cap’n Pete” Henderson, who hosted a blues show on WEVL for 26 years, was found shot to death in the backyard of his home at 1040 Fields Wednesday morning. He was 72.

Police make arrest in killing of Ex-Deep Creek football player

Huntington, W.Va., police made an arrest Sunday in the killing of a former Deep Creek High School football star early Saturday.

Donte D. Newsome, 25, died of multiple gunshot wounds at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington after an altercation outside a nightclub in Huntington, W.Va.. Two other men were also shot outside the Fluid nightclub at 3 a.m., but both have since been released from the hospital.

A car chase in the Central Business District that started shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday when two people believed to be transporting drugs in a black Chevrolet Trailblazer ran a stop sign at Canal and S. Police catch fugitive sex offender in Akron

Akron -- A 39-year-old Akron man was arrested Wednesday afternoon on Roswell Street by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force.





Michael Johnson is charged with rape, kidnapping and a parole violation for a May 31 incident where a woman was raped at gunpoint in her home in Akron, police said.

Police have released a sketch of a man wanted in the sexual assault of a 22-year-old woman who was grabbed from behind in the Mayfair section of the city.
