Man is charged with beating man to death with a brick

Police yesterday arrested the man they said beat to death a 38-year-old landscaper with seven children last week in West Philadelphia and then made off with the victim's wallet.

The suspect is the man seen - with two small boys in tow - on a widely circulated surveillance video buying three fitted baseball caps during a shopping spree about an hour after Corey Moody was bashed on the head with a brick, police said.

Memphis Man Added To Fugitive List

(Memphis 7/25/2008) On December 20, 2006, 794 Brower Street was the scene of a horrific domestic violence incident. Police say Ernest Smith tried to kill his girlfriend. Man accused in gang rape in East Austin

Austin police arrested a man accused in the gang rape of a woman. A woman told investigators she was given some sort of date rape drug Friday night and then assaulted by about 10 men at a house in East Austin.

A neighbor called police Saturday morning when the woman showed up partially-clothed and crying.

South Charlotte Man Catches Burglar On Camera

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Most families don't have surveillance cameras in their homes, but Jim Walters installed a system after his home was broken into twice, and for one reason -- if his home got burglarized again, he'd catch the thief on camera.

That's exactly what happened last weekend. A burglar broke into Walter's south Charlotte house while he was on vacation.

Man killed in drive-by shooting; three in custody

Robert Lee Holmes Jr., 22, was shot in the chest about 4:30 p.m. when a gunman in a maroon Lincoln Town Car opened fire near 31st Street North and Cincinnati Avenue.

Man attacks 5 year old on bus

PITTSBURGH -- A 33-year-old Carrick man charged with assaulting a 5-year-year old on a school bus has been arrested.

Police said Thomas Demarko turned himself in to authorities early Tuesday morning after being featured on the Allegheny County Sheriff’s 20 Most Wanted list on Comcast.

Man arrested in death of 4-year-old son

A Tulsa man was arrested on a child abuse complaint after his son was found dead in their home Tuesday.



Police believe that Terry Lamar Green, 25, waited too long to call 911 for 4-year-old Keyshawn Markham, according to an arrest report.

Detectives are awaiting a ruling from the state Medical Examiner's Office on the cause of the boy's death, police said Wednesday.

Man gets up to 26 years for attempted MPD murder

An Oakdale man was sentenced up to 26 years in prison Tuesday afternoon, for the attempted murder of a Minneapolis Police officer. In November, 34-year-old Israel Anderson shot Officer Daniel Grosland in the ankle. Grosland was trying to break up a fight in a downtown parking lot.

Man convicted of murder in Westfield player's death

A Houston man was convicted of murder Thursday in the shooting death of a high school football star last year.
