Opa-locka rapper killed in drive-by shooting

An Opa-locka rapper known as Toro was shot dead in a drive-by shooting early Saturday in North Miami-Dade.

Derek Johnson, 23, was with another man inside their car on Northwest 119th Street and Sixth Avenue about 4 a.m. when a silver sedan passed by.

DOLEMITE IS DEAD: We remember legendary funnyman Rudy Ray Moore.

*EUR has learned that after an extended illness, seminal comedian Rudy Ray Moore, better known as Dolemite, has died in Akron, Ohio. He was 81.

EUR was initially informed of the news by comedienne Luenell, a friend of the family.



Moore, whose actual name was Rudolph Frank Moore, passed away Sunday from complications of diabetes, his only child and daughter, Yvette "Rusty" Wesson, told us.

Black U.S. Marshals File Discrimination Lawsuit Lawsuit: Managers Called Them "Lazy" And Belittled Them

Two hundred former and present U.S. Marshal Service employees filed a lawsuit last week in federal court alleging that they were discriminated against and passed over for promotions because they were black.

Woman's body cremated in culvert, officials say
