Father Charged in Death of 3 Month-Old Girl

MEMPHIS, TN – Police say a father has been charged with First Degree Murder after his 3 month-old daughter died from head injuries.

According to investigators, officers were called to the Highland Creek Apartments in the 1300 block of Elmview, Monday, August 18, 2008, around 9:00 p.m., about a baby who was not breathing. When police arrived on the scene, they found 3 month-old Jalissa Fuller dead in an upstairs bedroom.

Suspect arrested in murder on North Prieur ; 3 others sought in slayings

New Orleans homicide detectives on Friday arrested one suspect in connection to a July slaying and publicly identified three others wanted in different cases.

Suspect Dead, Officers Injured After Confrontation In Berkeley

KSDK -- A Berkeley man was killed and two police officers injured after a confrontation in North County Thursday night.

The man, 31-year-old Craig Foster, had been wanted on drug charges. The officers were assigned to serve him with a warrant, but police said everything changed as soon as Foster pulled into his neighborhood. He stopped his car on Graham Lane and police approached.

Woman Throws Baby to Run Away from Police in Arkansas

HELENA/WEST HELENA, AR – Authorities say a woman threw a baby, face down in the mud while trying to run from police.

*Actor Julius Carry III, best known as the villain Sho'Nuff from the 1985 film "The Last Dragon," died on Aug. 19 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 56.
