*Former NFL quarterback Steve McNair's blood-alcohol level was twice the legal limit when he was shot and killed by his mistress in a murder/suicide, the state’s assistant medical examiner said on Monday.

Sahel “Jenni” Kazemi, the 20-year old woman who shot McNair and then herself, had a small amount of marijuana in her system, Dr. Feng Li said, according to the Tennessean newspaper.

C-Murder Homicide Trial To Proceed in January 2010

In spite of an incarcerated friend claiming the killing, C-Murder’s (Corey Miller) homicide trial will move forward early next year.

Yesterday (July 20), Judge Hans Liljeberg rejected the prosecution’s request to review the claims of Juan Flowers, who stated that he was the one who killed 16 year-old Steve Thomas in a 2002, Harvey nightclub shootout.

Police: Babysitter Gave 9-Month-Old Wine

CARROLLTON, Ga. -- Carrollton police have captured a babysitter they say gave a 9-month-old boy wine, causing the baby's blood-alcohol level to exceed four times the legal limit for an adult.

Tammy Demice Truitt, 40, of Carrollton was captured Friday afternoon.



Truitt will face charges of first degree cruelty to children and reckless conduct for giving the baby alcohol.

Feds arrest felon in sale of gun in McNair killing

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Ex-NFL quarterback Steve McNair's mistress bought the gun she used to kill him from a convicted murderer whose fiancee was afraid to have it in the house, authorities said Friday.

Adrian J. Gilliam Jr., 33, of La Vergne, Tenn., was charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. He admitted selling a 9 mm Bryco/Jennings to Sahel Kazemi for $100, according to court documents.
