James Nealy II (Japiro) was born November 4th, 1981. Japiro holds alot of rare qualities over other upcoming artist' in the game today. Japiro's name recognition as well as rousing lyrics, and top notch production make him a stand out in the crowd. With a laid back money by any means demeanor Japiro earned his Bachelors of Science in Public Relations & Marketing from Morgan State University in 2004. James was recruited by a neighborhood friend Tradesman (Rashan Cole) who began to show James the ropes of producing at the age of 16 with some neighborhood friends in Northeast Baltimore (Cedonia) aka "The Vadeo" using an MPC 2000 and Cool Edit Pro. During his years of high school, he teamed up with Alcatrez & Panama to form the group formerly known as M.E.P -The Producers and began a movement that carried on for 10 years. The Producers began moving their material with impromptu freestyle sessions and battles dating back to 1998 amongst other challengers across the city from East to West and North to South Baltimore. Also, The Producers worked with numerous artists to build the deepest catalog in entertainment history. A Hip-Hop alliance has been established by Japiro to create an outlet for all artists in such an untapped market within Baltimore. While attending Baltimore City College High School & Morgan State University James began to record, edit & master his own cd's. Japiro now uses Fruity Loops 5,6, & 7 and Reason 2.5 & 3.0. Piro also has won numerous battles in his rap career including "The Heritage 50 MC Battle" in March of 2002 & "The 5 Seasons Battle" hosted by C-Love in March of 2006. Always with a serious look, it's easy to see where Piro takes all his anger, emotions, and feelings to; the stage. There it was, the Artist/Producer found his nitch and was re-born into the now Mobile Emcee. Destined to make his name ring bells up and down the Eastern seaboard James records and produces at least 1 song a day. Taking the "Ultimate Hustler" approach, Piro learned the ropes of promotion by moving his own material and assisting in the early days of street promotion with SYE. Using the more mature local entertainment scene, James found a way to brand his music to the people by staying consistant and being personable going to each and every event he can get to in Baltimore City. Teaming up with Baltimore's upcoming Promoters Jazzy Presents:, Schoolyard Entertainment (SYE), Above Average, Sean Breeze, Earl Omari & Ryan Ant and DJ's such as DJ Reddz/Nitelife Entertainment, DJ-B-Eazy/E2 Entertainment/ and last but, not least D-Hov/Stay Doing It Entertainment. The days of hoop dreams were distant for Japiro since 1997 when he teamed up with Panama choosing music over his love for Basketball. Piro fractured his heel in late 2004 and decided to make rap his full-time hustle to add to his full-time 9 to 5. With his own promotions company, record label, and marketing for the "Urban Justice" clothing line; James, also finds time to produce at least two albums and four mixtapes a year. There's not a day that Japiro doesn't make some kind of networking decision or increase of potential growth or net worth. James is now persuing a solo career on his own and continues to network and build clientele for his Marketing & PR Company/Pizzle Muzik Group. Japiro continues to be a primary influence as Artist/Producer on the Baltimore Hip-Hop scene. With an upscale appeal to the masses Japiro can work any show, crowd, club, party or event.
