HIV (poem)

The night she met you she never knew what you carried was so deadly, your carmel skin, pretty eyes, and gorgeous smile looking so manly. Had a conversation that was so deep, but she was thinking theres something he's not telling tellin me. But she ignored it though, as yall headed to her bedroom door. As we began kissing and undressing, not once did I asked if you had any protection. It's now one month later, and she's been diagnosed as an HIV patient. The day she found out she wanted to die, silence filled the room she just broke down and cried. Dam I have HIV, HIV, HIV or was it AIDS are they the same. Somebody tell me why me, why me, I cant take this pain. She read the pamphlets HIV/AIDS among todays youth, but always thought it will never happen to you. Black women ages 18 to 25 dying, cause they didnt use a condom that one time. She's only nineteen and life for her will no longer be the same, all in one night everything changed. It will be along time before another man will earn her trust, ladies please be safe and wrap it up. Life is too short too just give it away, because she learned one night of pleasure can be a lifetime of pain. MS.V

i feel this is one subject that we really dont discuss to much, i wrote this poem for my lil cuz she had to do a poem about HIV at her school and she asked me to write her a poem..lol they always want me to write they poems when they have to do one for school. but the poems i write r from the heart and this came as i started writing so this one is like staright from the head, some i have to think on a lil but this one i just wrote it with no hesitation.
